Go tell it on the mountain!

Have you ever woken up with a song in your head?  Of course you have!  This morning, I woke up singing, “Go tell it on the mountain!”  It’s only October, so I know I haven’t heard it on the radio.  So, I was thinking to myself, why in the world did I wake up with this tune in my head?  Surely it wasn’t because of the horrible vice-presidential debate I watched last night?  I had nightmares half the night.  (Wasn’t that horrible?)

Anyway, as I reflected on the song (which I’ll surely blurt out at random moments), I thought surely this song was to affirm my writing of this blog.  When I decided to write a blog, I struggled with what angle I was going to write from.  Was I going to write a business professional?  Or was I going to write a christian blog in the hopes of growing my faith as well as the faith of others.  I’m embarrassed to say I struggled with the answer. I didn’t feel worthy of a christian blog.  And then I remembered that God uses normal people like me to do extraordinary things.  So, I decided to step out in faith.  This morning God affirmed my decision by saying, “Yes, go tell it on the mountain!”

And that’s all I needed to hear.  I will write-on.
